BACK TO PROJECTS INDEX Samford University Pete Hanna Arena Mohlin & Company recently completed the Pete Hanna Arena for Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Key components of this 146,000 SF new sports/fitness and special events center include a 5,000-seat arena (with 3,000 chair-back seats and 2,000 bleachers) for basketball and volleyball; Athletic Department offices; team locker rooms; a training room; Study Room; meeting room; four concession stands; a Hospitality Suite; and a 12,000-sq. ft. fitness/wellness center. Mohlin & Company was the "Structural Engineer of Record" and provided conceptual design to develop early construction costs, final detailed design and construction administrative services.
