BACK TO PROJECTS INDEX Sludge Press Installation A local food processing facility was faced with increasing landfill costs for their sludge waste. Mohlin & Company was hired to work with the facility to design a sludge dewatering system. Process and equipment selection was done by the facility. Mohlin & Company provided complete structural design for a new two story steel frame building and foundation supports for the sludge press, process tanks, pumps and conveyors. Upon completion of the project, it is expected that the quantity of sludge trucked to their landfill will be reduced dramatically, and the liquid removed from the sludge will be recycled back to the process.
